baby keepsake book? i was going to buy a baby keepsake book but have decided to make one. I was wondering what would you put in it and i was going to make one through out me being pregnant but what would i put in the one ??? Please help i need to know what i would put in 2 keepsake books. x

Caz M replied: "the babies one- the band from the babies wrist or foot (where ever the hospital put it). lock of hair (when ever it gets hair). photo of it at birth then a month, 2 months etc. any cards you get. maybe a hand print. and anything else you would like to keep- maybe write how you feel or what your experiences were. the pregnancy one- scan photos. a diary. if you get any cards or if you have a baby shower an invitation. if you've got a pregnancy book use photos or paragraphs from that of how your feeling or what you want or expect from the baby/labor ect. hope that's given you a few ideas- good luck"

Sarahsmum replied: "go to a bookstore like barnes and noble and see what sections those books have in them. Take a piece of paper and make a list, then get started with the scrapbooking! It is loads of fun, but can get pretty expensive. Instead of buying stuff that they market for this purpose, go to fabric stores to buy large spools of ribbon and get a 24 pack of markers to do your own little drawings."

Which baby keepsake book would you recommend? I'm looking for a book to record my baby's firsts, information about the birth, footprints & such. Does anyone have any recommendations for such books? Any ones that you've really liked, or really disliked, and why? Thanks!

tonnie_rn replied: "i love this one bc you can add in pages of your own, it's made like a looseleaf binder; has the baby book stuff, but you know those plastic covers you can slip a page in? perfect for preserving scrapbook like stuff or journals to your baby or anything else you can think of.....i wish i had gotten this one, i really, reallllly, liked itl....LOL "

GeneK replied: "The perfect baby keepsake book will depend on the sort of topics you would like to see in your book. Here are are some topics/questions to help you decide what you'd like to see in a baby book. If you can't find a memory book that suits your family perfectly, consider getting a loose-leaf baby memory book. You will be able to remove pages that don't suit your family or add pages. Check out the Aimee J memory book - it is in the loose-leaf style and 12x12 scrapbook size. You can also include photos sleeves in the baby book so it can be like a photo album too. Some baby memory books come with matching keepsake boxes, a baby first year calendar with stickers and a photo album which is a nice idea. You might also like the idea of personalizing your baby's keepsake memory book with your baby's name embroidered on the cover. Another option is making your own baby book such as baby book scrapbook or photobook. You could also consider starting a blog and collating your blog into a baby photobook using Blurb.com at the end of your baby's first year. Hope this helps!"

Where can I buy a baby keepsake book (online/in store) for writing down memories and other things? I'm looking to purchase a "keepsake" book for someone who is pregnant. Where can I buy something like this (either online or in a store)? I would like pages that ask you to fill in information as well as storage areas for things like cards, locks of hair, etc.

ll2 replied: "Wal-Mart, Target (look in the infant section of these stores), Hallmark stores, just about anywhere. There are lots of cute ones!"

layla983 replied: "I'm unsure if it has storage areas, but I know there is a book called "My Pregnancy Journal" which goes week by week, has places to put belly shots, as well as places to write in thoughts, feelings, & other memories about the pregnancy. I've seen it in every bookstore, so I'm sure checking a local book store would produce pretty good results."

xxxdarkangel2003 replied: "hi Mel ~ those types of books are available at most retail stores like walmart, target, etc. Also check Hallmark. If you'd like to really personalize the book, buy a scrapbook (which is also usually available @walmart, etc) and make ur own decorations or buy those too from the same stores or online (just google scraps/scrap kits). There are TONS of online scrapbooking groups and forums u can join to get some tips, ideas, info. Good Luck!!!"

Tara C replied: "Walmart carries a pink one, a blue one & a neutral yellow one from Child o'Mine, a subdivision of Carter's. It has all the obvious thing like baby's weight, etc... but it also has folder-like slots on the inside covers & a few slits inside for hair, umbilical cord & stuff like that, as well as tons of picture areas. But what I really like about them is that they ask other questions like where did mom & dad meet? Where was their 1st date? As well as all about the parents' childhoods. I thought they were the best & they were actually the cheapest. Only $12 or $13. Stay away from the Winnie the Pooh ones, they stink! Hope this helps!"

Can any new mums (UK) recommend a good baby keepsake book? One that has space for scan pics, hospital tags, photographs and other milestones? Thanks

LP replied: "we use humphreys corner baby record book available at mothercare and also places. we received two baby record books at birth but this one is cuter i find. it's beige/yellow so it can be for any sex. there's little envelopes to put tags, hair, scans and photos in and it covers all aspects of having a baby - mile stones, holidays, special occations and health etc..."

ȿσρҺіє'ȿ ᶆưᶆᶆƴ replied: "i have 2. i have the john lennon real love baby calendar which has room for pics, writing, it is in a calendar form and it has sticker with it - first tooth, first bath etc. and you just stick the sticker on the day your baby acheived different things. i also have the humphreys corner keepsake book which was a gift. it has a family tree, pics of family, all babys firsts and lots of room for photos. it goes from finding out your pregnant - scans, possible names, due dates, feelings about pregnancy, how you prepared for baby. then its goes from birth to our hopes for the future of our baby."

Where can I get printable pages for a baby keepsake book? ? I am making those little keepsake books for my kids. I have colored paper and nice backgrounds but I am looking for the actual pages that I would fill out. Pages that have weight, birth info, etc. Any body have any ideas? I guess I could type them out myself but I'm feeling lazy. lol
